Biography

Merve Bakdur completed her undergraduate degree at Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2015 and her master’s degree in Criminal Law at Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms Bonn University in Germany with a study on freedom of expression. During this time, she worked as an assistant in a child rights project of the UN Africa Project office. Supported the translation of legal texts from German and English into Turkish. She worked as a project coordinator in the Access to Justice project supported by the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey. Since 2020, he has been a member of the Istanbul Bar Association. Merve Bakdur provides services in the fields of criminal law, foreigners’ law and human rights law.
